Solidarity storage service

Starting from October 1st, 2024, AS Conexus Baltic Grid (Conexus) provides 4 TWh of natural gas storage capacity for solidarity purposes as part of the regional security reserve, based on amendments to Paragraph 44, Section 8.1 of the Energy Law.

In order to receive a solidarity storage service, a natural gas trader must:

1. have a storage service agreement.

2. conclude a solidarity service contract by filling in an application form, which must be signed electronically* and sent to [email protected] (or sent to Stigu iela 14, Riga, Latvia, LV-1021 if signed in paper form). The following information should be attached to the application:

2.1. a document issued by the competent authority of the Member State for the quantity of solidarity product requested.

2.2. proof of representation, if the application is submitted by an authorised representative of the applicant.

 

* In case an electronic signature does not comply with the recognized electronic signature formats in Latvia, an agreement on the recognition of electronic signatures must be concluded. The electronic signature formats recognized in Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania:
