Conexus confirms the existence of natural gas stored in storage for household use
The single natural gas transmission and storage system operator Conexus Baltic Grid AS (Conexus) confirms the information provided by the Ministry of Economics on 10 August that the Inčukalns underground gas storage facility (hereinafter - UGS) contains gas stocks of JSC Latvijas Gāze, which are larger than required by the Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No.503 of 9 August 2022 "Regulations on Supply of Energy Users during Early Warning and Alert Level Announcement".
The ownership of gas stored at Inčukalna UGS is the responsibility of the system users and Conexus is obliged to ensure the protection of restricted information received by Conexus from the system users and is not entitled to disclose it.
