Luhamaa Point capacity increase towards Latvia and Increase of Inčukalns UGS injection capacity
AS “Conexus Baltic Grid” (Conexus) performs the reconstruction work of the pipeline Pskov – Riga, for which we have previously provided information on the Conexus website. As part of the work to be carried out, works have been concluded before deadline at one stage of the pipeline and the renewed pipelive can be used. Consequently, Conexus has revised entry capacity at Luhamaa point to Latvia. The expected technical capacity increase from August 1, 2020 until August 19, 2020 and from September 1, 2020 until October 14, 2020 is from 85 Gwh/day to 97,7 Gwh/day.
Increased capacity in Luhamaa of 12,7 Gwh/day is foreseen in the period 01.08.2020.-19.08.2020. and 01.09.2020.-14.10.2020. It means that the increased capacity in the amount on 12,7 Gwh/day for the mentioned periods becomes available for booking from 31.07.2020. at 13:00 Latvian time.
After reviewing 2020 injection season actual injection mode to date, Conexus has reviewed Inčukalns underground gas storage (UGS) injection capacity for 2020 injection season.
Expected capacity increase is from 105 GWh/day to 126 GWh/day for 30 consecutive gas days starting from August 1, 2020 until August 31, 2020 (included). Increase of injection capacity 21 GWh/day will be available for nomination from 13:00 July 31, 2020 (Riga time).
Injection capacity that will be available for injection after August 1, 2020 shall be updated by end of August 2020. In addition, we inform that Inčukalns UGS injection capacity is allocated according to Regulation of use of Inčukalns UGS and in case of congestion the congestion management principles apply.
