Regulation use of the solidarity product of the Inčukalns UGS
On 1 October 2024, amendments to the Energy Law entered into force. These amendments determine the obligation of the joint stock company Conexus Baltic Grid to provide a capacity share of 4 TWh of the Inčukalns Underground Gas Storage (hereinafter - Inčukalns UGS) for the solidarity needs of the neighbouring countries of the European Union with which is concluded an agreement on solidarity measures to protect the security of gas supply as part of the regional security reserve.
