Approved amendments to the Domain Protocol for issuing gas Guarantees of Origin
The Association of Issuing Bodies (AIB) has approved amendments to the Domain Protocol, enabling Conexus to further improve the framework necessary for the development of biomethane in Latvia.
The most significant amendments to the Domain Protocol include the possibility of obtaining Guarantees of Origin (GOs) for biomethane transported by truck as bioCNG and injected at a Biomethane Injection Point (BIP). The Domain Protocol now includes a new Chapter E.2, which outlines the additional conditions for biomethane injected into a BIP to qualify for the EECS scheme. Among these requirements, producers must maintain traceable audit records of biomethane deliveries and cargo transportation.
Several technical clarifications and additions have also been made in the amended Domain Protocol.
We invite you to review the updated Domain Protocol and other related information on the Conexus website.
